Treatment Details

Correction of lines and wrinkles can be achieved through a variety of injectable fillers. Lip enhancement, for a more sensual pout, and facial contouring, for a firmer, fuller appearance are also available options with the following products: Restylane, Juvéderm, Hydrafill, Scuptra® and Collagen.

Restylane, Juvéderm and Hydrafill are all forms of non-animal hyaluronic acid. These clear gels have been reproduced in a lab to closely match the hyaluronic acid that naturally occurs in the human body.

Anaesthetic cream or localized block is administered for maximum comfort and effectiveness prior to treatment.

The filler is injected under the skin with a fine needle then massaged to mould and fill the desired area.

The actual treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, with possible side effects of tenderness, redness itching, swelling and discoloration. These effects are temporary and generally resolve in 3 to 5 days.

Treatment results can last 9 to 12 months and lip augmentation 6 – 8 months, both depending on the patient and the area that is being treated.

Restylane

Collagen
